Awaiting Delivery of Kit

I anxiously sent in my plane deposit to Rans to initiate the construction of my S-7S Courier kit. Rans indicated that my S-7S Courier kit would be delivered, tentatively, by the end of the month to the Upper Peninsula of MI, where I reside. RANS had estimated a 6-8 week assembly time, upon receipt of the downpayment .

I ordered the complete airframe kit minus the engine and prop.

The kit will arrive in a wooden box 19' long and weigh approx. 1,200 lbs.

I'm currently trying to plan logistics in getting delivered and unloaded in my garage.

I've attached photos of an earlier trip to the Rans plant in Hays, KS, where I toured the plant plus test flew the aircraft, which exceeded my expectations. If you're lucky enough to find Randy available, ask him to demo the plane's glide performance and you'll be in for an honest-to-God glider experience with non-simulated "dead-stick" landing! Rans also currently produces a factory-built Courier (S7-LS, certified light sport aircraft), which is shown here. My plane, once built, will be identical.
